Episode 25 – Moonlight Won Best Picture

Welcome to the twenty-fifth episode of Down and Safe, where Michael, Liz, Scott, and Amal discuss the FINAL episode of season two, Star One. We have arrived, at last!

This is a useful reminder that this podcast is very probably not safe for work, and may contain mild spoilers for the rest of the Blake’s 7 series throughout the episode (we keep major spoilers to a spoiler section of the podcast that we give warning is going to be particularly spoilery.)

If you would like to support the podcast, we have a very shiny Patreon.

Apologies for the occasional crackle in the sound: it’s not you, it’s us.  Regarding the clay/plushie Travises mentioned in the episode, these have been searched for, but I cannot find them. Michael may have imagined it all.

  1. Um… it’s Episode 26, surely? And the person on Star One is Lurena, not Loretta.
Nitpicks aside, thanks for another great podcast – now looking forward to Season C!

  2. Pretty fun this time, but as stated, I could very much do without the foreigner’s ignorant, criticism of american institutions: this time, it’s one that don’t even matter., the oscars.
For one thing, this phony award ceremony is essentially the big shots of the movie corporations giving awards to themselves. OK, a wonderfully unconscious tribute to vapidity. But talking about ‘white supremacy…well, that’s just ignorant: everyone knows that in hoillywoood, it’s all about the deal.
I didn’t see either of the movies in question…I didn’t have a dog in this race. And my point here is, neither did any of you…so kindly don’t destroy any illusion of rationality you might have by race baiting , especially in as silly a context as this. Worry about race relations in your own country, we’ll deal with outs thanks very much.
